Mastermind Groups are often confused with networking groups. While Mastermind Groups may have a networking element, their primary purpose is to help their members in business, personal and community development. These peer groups can be thought of as an alternative to a business' board and thereby instead of having an in-house board of directors, having a group of peers who help each other along the same path in a cooperative environment. This fits well within mindfulness teachings.
These groups have a long history of notables as members including Benjamin Franklin who started Junto, Theodore Roosevelt's mastermind group and The Vagabonds , whose members included President Harding, Thomas Edison and Henry Ford. Some say that this model goes back to King Arthur'and the Knights of the Round Table.
In modern times there are many mastermind groups, participants including Bill Gates, Andrew Carnegie, Richard Branson, Oprah Winfrey, Warren Buffet, and Charles Schwab. Now is your turn to step up, not to be alone on your journey and to join now.
